Chattogram, Bangladesh

The United Welfare Society has successfully completed a major humanitarian initiative during the holy month of Ramadan, distributing 1,500 food packets among underprivileged families in Anwara Upazila of Chattogram. The project was generously sponsored by UAE AID, a prominent international donor known for supporting charitable causes around the globe.

This initiative aimed to provide essential food supplies to low-income families struggling to meet their daily needs, especially during Ramadan, a time of spiritual reflection, devotion, and community support. Each packet contained vital food items such as rice, lentils, oil, sugar, salt, dates, and other basic necessities, ensuring that recipient families could observe Ramadan with dignity and peace.

The distribution was carried out in multiple phases across various villages in Anwara, ensuring fair and efficient delivery to those most in need. Volunteers from the United Welfare Society worked tirelessly to identify beneficiaries, pack the food parcels, and personally distribute them door-to-door, maintaining transparency and respect for the recipients.

Speaking about the project, a representative from the United Welfare Society stated,

“We are deeply grateful to UAE AID for their generous sponsorship. With their support, we were able to touch the lives of 1,500 families during this sacred month. Our mission is to serve humanity, and we believe this initiative has brought relief and hope to many.”

Local residents and community leaders expressed their heartfelt appreciation for the effort, noting that such support is crucial in alleviating the burden on impoverished families during Ramadan.

The United Welfare Society continues to undertake various welfare projects throughout the year, focusing on health, education, disaster relief, and community empowerment, with a vision to build a more compassionate and equitable society.
